DU admission test 2023 will be 4 units

This year Dhaka University Admission Test 2023 will be conducted in total four units. An academic council meeting was held later after recommending the dates mentioned in the admission test. All these decisions were taken in the academic council meeting. This decision has been taken by international consensus. A total of four units admission test is going to be held this year.

DU Admission Application Eligibility (2022-23)

Candidates who want to participate in the Honors First Year Dhaka University Admission Test in the academic year 2022-23 have to follow the mentioned conditions. The conditions are,

1. Student must have passed SSC or equivalent examination between 2017 to 2020.

2. However, only students who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of 2022 can apply.

What is the admission eligibility for four units?

In case of science unit

1. Higher Secondary and Madrasa Education Board Science Branch Alim and IGCSE/O Level and IAL/GCE A Level Examination Candidates in Science and Agriculture Branch must have aggregate GPA of at least 8.00 in Secondary and Higher Secondary Examinations (including Fourth Subject).

2. Minimum 3.5 in Secondary and Higher Secondary Examinations separately.

3. Higher Secondary and Madrasa Education Board Humanities and Commerce students can apply for admission in the said unit. In this case, the total GPA of the student must be at least 7.5 in the secondary and higher secondary examinations including the fourth subject. Minimum 3.0 marks in Secondary and Higher Secondary Examination separately.

In case of Arts, Law and Social Science units

1. Candidates who have passed Alim and IGCSE/O level and IAL/GCE A level examination in Humanities stream of Higher Secondary Board and General stream of Madrasa Education Board with aggregate GPA of at least 7.5 including fourth subject in Secondary and Higher Secondary examinations are eligible to apply for admission test. can

2. In this case, there should be at least 3.0 points in the secondary and higher secondary examinations separately.

3. Higher Secondary and Madrasa Education Board science and commerce students can also apply for admission in the said unit. However, in this case, the sum of GPA of the student must be at least 8.0 in the secondary and higher secondary examinations including the fourth subject. At least 3.5 points in secondary and higher secondary separately and at least 7.5 points (at least 3.0 separately) for commercial stream.

In case of business education unit

1. Students who have passed IGCSE/O level and IAL/GCE A level examination in Business Education stream of Higher Secondary Board and have aggregate GPA of at least 7.5 including fourth subject in Secondary and Higher Secondary Examinations are eligible to apply for admission test.

2. Minimum 3.0 marks in Secondary and Higher Secondary Examination separately.

3. Higher Secondary and Madrasa Education Board science and humanities students can also apply for admission in the said unit. In this case, the student must have a minimum GPA of 8.0 points including the fourth subject in the secondary and higher secondary examinations. Must have at least 7.5 GPA points for humanities stream.

In case of fine arts unit

1. Candidates who have passed any branch of secondary and higher secondary examination should have at least 6.5 GPA points in secondary and higher secondary examination including fourth subject.

2. Minimum 3.0 GPA points in Secondary and Higher Secondary Examinations separately.

DU Admission Test 2023 value distribution

1. This year the total number of admission exam will be 100.

2. Marks for MCQ/Technical Exam will be 60.

3. The total marks for the written test will be 40.

4. The total duration of the exam is 1 hour 30 minutes.

5. 45 minutes will be allotted separately for written and MCQ examination.

Some special information about DU admission test 2023

1. Calculators, mobile phones, any kind of electronic devices including watches and pens cannot be used in the center during the admission test.

2. 20 marks will be determined on the basis of secondary and higher secondary results.
