Hajj package 2023 under private management
This year (year 2023) the minimum package for Hajj pilgrims under private management has been set at 6 lakh 72 thousand 618 taka. Previous year (year 2022) the price of the said package was 5 lakh 22 thousand 744 taka. That is, compared to 2022, the cost in 2023 has increased by one and a half lakh taka. On January 9, 2023, the Hajj agreement was signed between the Saudi government and the Bangladesh government through bilateral negotiations. According to the agreement, 1 lakh 27 thousand 198 people will have the opportunity to perform Hajj this year. This year (2023) 15 thousand pilgrims can perform Haj under government management. And under private management, 1 lakh 12 thousand 198 people can perform Hajj.

This year, a total of 1 lakh 27 thousand 198 Bangladeshi pilgrims will be able to perform Hajj at the government and private levels. Hajj package 2023 under government management
On February 1, 2023, on Wednesday, the government has fixed the cost of Hajj for the current season at 6 lakh 83 thousand 18 taka. The decision was taken in the meeting of the executive committee regarding Hajj management regarding Hajj package-2023 at the Secretariat. This year the Hub has declared Tk 10 thousand 403 less than the government management.
Hub President’s statement about Hajj 2023
M Shahadat Hossain Taslim said in response to a question from the journalists at the press conference that this year, the Hajj package has been increased up to Tk 150,000 due to the increase in air fares and the conversion rate of the aircraft. He also said that currently the pilgrims who are doing initial registration by paying 30 thousand taka. They think that they can go to Haj for 4 lakh to 4.5 lakh taka. But the sad thing is, they have to go for Hajj with much more money than that. He demanded rationalization of air fares.
Noting that everyone will be able to go for Hajj in 2023, Hub President M Shahadat Hossain Taslim said that people aged 65 and above can go for Hajj this year. If everything goes well, Haj pilgrims will be able to start their journey for the holy Haj from 21 May 2023. Registration of private pilgrims will start from February 6.
Written statement of M Shahadat Hossain Taslim regarding Hajj 2023
He (M. Shahadat Hossain Taslim) said in a written statement that the Hajj pilgrims of the announced package will be accommodated at a maximum distance of 1,500 meters from the boundary of the outer area of the Holy Haram Sharif. He said that accommodation will be arranged at a distance of 2 thousand kilometers under the government system. Shahadat Hossain Taslim also said that Hajj pilgrims can deposit the entire amount of the Hajj package into the bank account of the respective Hajj agency or directly to the agency and save the money receipt. Under no circumstances shall any transactions be made to intermediaries. Hajj pilgrims must deposit the full amount of Hajj package in their respective agency’s bank or receive the money receipt by 15th March 2023.

Hajj 2023 passport related notice
Hajj pilgrims’ passports should be valid till 27th December 2023. He also said that when applying for a passport, the pilgrim must accurately record the National Identity Card number or birth registration number used in the pre-registration. Hajj pilgrims should carry full name passports to avoid complications in Saudi visa accommodation. Passport copies shall not be affixed with stapler pins or otherwise perforated. Along with this, health check, meningitis and influenza vaccination certificate must be carried for every pilgrim. Fearing the suffering of Hajj pilgrims, he said that no airline will be able to carry any Hajj pilgrims on scheduled flights this year without dedicated flights. Any additional fees imposed by the Saudi government after the package announcement will be considered as the price of the package. And the pilgrim has to pay the said price.
Officially Hajj Package 2023
A Hajj package was officially approved in the meeting of the Executive Committee on Hajj Management at the Secretariat last Wednesday (1 February 2023). At the end of the meeting, the State Minister of Religion said. Faridul Haque Khan announced the Hajj Package 2023. Officially there were two packages last year (2022) but this time only one package has been announced. According to the announcement, each pilgrim will spend 6 lakh 83 thousand 18 taka on Hajj. It should be noted that last year (2022) officially Haj was spent 5 lakh 86 thousand 340 according to package-1 and 5 lakh 21 thousand 150 according to package-2.
