Pakistan cricket team has reached Dhaka. Babar Azam’s team landed on an Emirates Airlines flight at Hazrat Shahjalal (Rah.) International Airport on Saturday (November 13) at 8:10 am. Babar Azam’s team set foot in Bangladesh six days before the scheduled time to drop out of the World Cup semifinals. However, captain Babar Azam and all-rounder Shoaib Malik did not come with the Pakistan team today. They are scheduled to join the team on November 16 after a four-day holiday.
On Saturday (November 13) morning, the Pakistan team left the airport and went straight to Hotel Sonargaon. With the permission of the Bangladesh government, this is not the first time that a visiting team has been quarantined in cricket since the start of the Corona epidemic. Having a negative certificate in the corona test and having two doses of vaccine will not hinder normal movement.
Pakistan has come to Bangladesh to play this first bilateral series after 2015. The PCB has also given a team of 16 members. Not only Mohammad Hafeez is coming from the World Cup team. World Cup reserve batsman Khushdil Shah, fast bowler Shahnawaz Dahani and leg-spinner Usman Qadir have been included in the Bangladesh tour squad. Iftikhar Ahmed has been added from outside the World Cup squad.
Pakistan will also play two Tests against Bangladesh in a three-match T20. It will start with a fight of twenty overs. The three T20s will be played on November 19, 20 and 22 at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur. Then on 26 November the first Test in Chittagong and on 4 December the last Test in Dhaka.
