Ramadan Sehri and Iftar Schedule 2023
Islamic Foundation, Bangladesh has released Ramadan Sehri and Iftar Schedule 2023 [Dhaka and 64 District Time]. In the month of 2023 i.e. 1444 Hijri Ramadan, according to this calendar (timetable), the last time of sehri and iftar time has been determined in Dhaka and 64 districts.

Ramadan 2023 start date
Holy Shabe barat will be celebrated on March 7, 2023. The Moon Sighting Committee announced this date as the moon of the month of Shaban was seen in the sky of Bangladesh on 21 February 2023 every Tuesday evening. According to the calculation, the calculation of the month of Shaban has started from 22nd February 2023.
When will fasting start?
The holy month of Ramadan in 2023 will start from 23rd or 24th March 2023 depending on moon sighting. However, the Islamic Foundation has fixed the final schedule for Sehri and Iftar on March 24, the start of Ramadan.
نَوَيْتُ اَنْ اُصُوْمَ غَدًا مِّنْ شَهْرِ رَمْضَانَ الْمُبَارَكِ فَرْضَا لَكَ يَا اللهُ فَتَقَبَّل مِنِّى اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ السَّمِيْعُ الْعَلِيْم
|নাওয়াইতু আন আছুম্মা গাদাম মিন্ শাহরি রমাজানাল মুবারাকি ফারদাল্লাকা, ইয়া আল্লাহু ফাতাকাব্বাল মিন্নি ইন্নিকা আনতাস্ সামিউল আলিম।|
|O Allah! I intend to observe the obligatory fast of the holy month of Ramadan. So accept my fasting and abstaining from food and drink, surely You are All-Hearing and All-Knowing.|
Intention of Iftar
اَللَّهُمَّ لَكَ صُمْتُ وَ عَلَى رِزْقِكَ وَ اَفْطَرْتُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِيْمِيْن
|‘বিসমিল্লাহি আল্লাহুম্মা লাকা সুমতু, ওয়া আ’লা রিযক্বিকা আফত্বারতু।|
|In the name of Allah (beginning); O Allah! I have fasted for You and I am breaking the fast with Your sustenance. [Abu Dawud Mursal, Mishkat]Things to do during Iftar|
Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has specifically urged to break the fast on time in numerous hadiths. He said, ‘As long as people break the fast as soon as it is time to break the fast, they will benefit.’
Things to do during Iftar
|1. To break iftar as soon as it is time.|
|2. To break the fast without engaging in any other work during the break.|
|3.. Praying and asking for forgiveness as often as possible during Iftar.|
|4. Iftar with dates, white water or milk and perform Maghrib prayer with congregation.|
|5. Do not tarak Jamaat late after Iftar.|
|6. Do not eat heavy food during Iftar.|
|7. After observing Maghrib, eating enough food with satisfaction. It keeps the body healthy and strong.|
|8. Eating extra food during Iftar will result in being deprived of congregation and worship. So take as little food as possible.|
Dua to be made after iftar or during iftar
ذَهَبَ الظَّمَاءُ وَابْتَلَتِ الْعُرُوْقُ وَ ثَبَتَ الْأَجْرُ اِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ
|‘জাহাবাজ জামাউ; ওয়াবতালাতিল উ’রুকু; ওয়া ছাবাতাল আঝরূ ইনশাআল্লাহ।’|
|“(Through Iftar) thirst is quenched, veins are moistened, and if Allah wills, reward is fixed” [Abu Dawud, Mishkat]|
